General Description:

Position of primary role in the network in a timely manner and delivering quality service.  The Network Administrator must be able to understand, design and implement stable and secure local area networks, wide area networks and virtual private networks.  The Network Administrator will discuss problems and solution with customers (internal and external in some circumstances) and provide supporting documentation for recommended solutions.

 

  1. Install LAN, WAN, Wireless networks and monitor on a daily basis
  2. Implement and monitor network security
  3. Install and expand new facilities
  4. Optimize and maintain network software and hardware
  5. Perform network infrastructure troubleshooting
  6. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
  7. Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
  8. Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
  9. Any other job duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management

 

 

Work experience requirements:

·         Two or more years experience with computer support and networking

·         Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Novell and Linux operating system

·         Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS

 

 

 

Education Requirements

·            High school diploma or GED

·            College degree in the computer field

·            Degree may be substituted with experience

·            Certifications as directed by Management
